God gives everyone different gifts and passions, and life experiences.
We both have always seen the world a bit differently, through a camera lens, or in some artistic way.
Classes, experimentation, frustration, successes, all have brought us to this point where
we realized God can communicate to many through our work.
Whether mixed-media, photography, wood, or painting,
we hope to glorify God and connect you to His word,
help you find your strength, passion, and peace.
As it states in 1 John, "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another..."

SHERI GULLA - ARTIST
At age 62, I’m still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. I believe that fear stops us from pursuing dreams, from taking chances, and even from learning beyond the status quo, but God has encouraged me to be like Peter and step out of the boat. Like Peter, I’ve almost drowned many, many times (I failed art class three times in college!) But also, like Peter, when I choose to look to Christ, I get strength, wisdom, and grace to carry on. Art, to me, is an emotional release of the soul. We were all created to create something, and God has put it on my heart to share my triumphs and tragedies through color and texture and design. His word is interlaced in every piece, and many pieces have something tangible from my life hidden in them. Ever since I was a child this poem has been the desire of my heart, and my hope is that my art encourages you to live outside of fear, know that you’ll get through darkness, and a successful life is one lived for Him, with Him, beside Him, and through Him. You can do all things…
To laugh often and love much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty; To find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived; This is to have succeeded. |
BRIAN MCDADE - ARTIST
Sitting down to write this bio I find myself wondering how I got here. I have never really considered artist as a way to describe who I am. Yet here I am. I have always had an interest in photography and woodworking. And other than a few intro classes and watching The New Yankee Workshop as a kid, I’ve never had any formal training. But I just kept practicing and learning on my own as hobbies.
Since finding my way back to Christ I have learned what I thought I was doing for myself was really gifts and talents He has given me, and I want to use them to give back to His Kingdom. I often wonder if in my years away from God if the right piece of art, song, or poem would have sparked something in me to seek Him. I make my art pieces with this in mind, that maybe I can reach just one person and help them find their way back home. So call me artist if you like. But really I am a child of God, just doing what He has asked me to do. |
